A wine I've never had before. The nose has some distinct barnyard notes along with black cherries and a little touch of mocha in the background. This has a very soft texture on the palate initially, then some youthful tannins make their presence known, black fruit mixed with a hint of spearmint, rhubarb, spices, and the perfect amount of acidity. The barnyard notes make a comeback on the long spicy finish but don't overpower it in any way. Instead it gives a touch of extra complexity to the wine. Since I've never had this I don't know how they age. Based on this bottle I'd guess this should do very in the next 7-10 years, at minimum.
