TN: 2008 Vertice Gouveio Branco -- Sparkling wine

Post by Andy Velebil »

As background I've had a lot of the 2007 over the past couple years and while did like it quite a bit I always thought it needed a touch more acidity. The 2008 delivers that extra acidic crispness while retaining all that same complexity, citrus, and yeasty notes. I've had two bottles of this now with consistency. IMO, the 2008 is a better wine than the 2007.

Agreed. The 2008 is a big step up over the 2007. I really liked the 2008 a lot!

Had another bottle the other night. Consistent with other bottles I've had and still drinking better than the 2007.
