How about we simply do "Any 20 Year Tawny Port"? That way lots of people in different places can participate.
Sounds good. I have an Andresen that I'll open for this VT!

Do we have a day or weekend? Or just in the month? I think weekend would work best for a collective experience?

How about we start next Monday and go for 2 weeks? Does that sound good to everyone?

Have a bottle of Ferreira 20 Yr that I've had open for about a month. Will report the on condition of one such bottle :)

Might work out well. I believe others, like me, keep their tawnies open far longer than recommended!

Wasn't even aware that this was an option on FTLOP until TODAY. Sad, I know, but there are other things that I've only found out by bumping into them when in a curious mood, and I'm sure I'll find other things in the future..

I was a part of a virtual tasting group that met at a given time and day every week, but that's not what we're talking about here. If this is to succeed it has to be given much more prominence, and involvement by management in communication and promotion would give it a real chance. Perhaps I might even have joined in before fate took its turn.

The idea of a category tasting is a great one.
