Since tonight is QPR night, and after a '96 Chateau Lanessan paired with Wahoo's Maui steak bowl, this was dessert.
A bit of alcohol, with a very unique spice on the nose that I have come to love about Niepoort's Ports. A touch of VA on the palate, with a fair amount of tannins for a cheap tawny, cinnamon and some light plums. A medium finish rounds this out. Overall, a good bottle for $10.00...one of the best in its class. 85 points
