It will be hard to beat $36 for a young VP of this caliber!

Has anyone ever ordered from here? Not much info online. After my recent bad experience with winechateau.com I've become leary. THanks

I have been to their store many times on my way to eastern long island.

They have a great selection of wines and ports and have always treated me well.

I have never shipped anything because it was not necessary but to use UPS or some other domestic shipper should be no problem.

Jon, thank you very much for the feedback.

:wink: Oh the power of the For the Love of Port Forum. Incredible that I can get a local person's feedback for a wine establishment before ordering on the net.

Fantastic!

Raj,

Sorry I did not see your post until now. A Long Island based Port aficionado that I have consumed many bottles with over the years, was my source for this recommendation. However, I have never bought from them.

As in the first thread "caveat" in this Marketplace Forum says ... ask the right questions.

Last year at their once a year sale I purchased the following from them;

Quinta de la Rosa both 1985 & 1986 (more than two cases in total), each for under $20.00 and it was a great buy to use for an every day quaf. To bad they are almost all gone;

Neipoort 1994 for around $75 each and,

Multiple bottles of German riesling (they have a wonderful selection) and plenty of inexpensive Bordeaux's.

A fun mid size store with staff that was well versed in most wine areas except port.

IMHO it is worth the time to check their site once in a while.

Thanks for the tip! I picked up a six just now.
All wine would be port if it could

I drove out there and picked up 5 today its a great price and the bottles look to be in pristine condition. I'll be sacrificing one soon once they calm down from the trip home (at this price can't help but drink one so young)
Thanks for the tip Roy

It is my pleasure to bring you Ports that are occasionally exceptionally priced, but typically exceptionally stored.
