OK Geeks - no looking up the answers on the net or in your books or your cellar or anywhere else :Naughty:

Can anyone put the correct "d" word between each of the following?

The winner gets to feel really smug for a week 8)

1. Quinta ? Crasto

2. Quinta ? Panascal

3. Quinta ? Boa Vista

4. Quinta ? Foz

5. Quinta ? Bomfim

6. Qunita ? Roeda

7. Quinta ? Cavadinha

8. Quinta ? Noval

10. Quinta ? Fojo

11. Quinta ? Roriz

12. Quinta ? Vau

13. Quinta ? Malvedos

14. Quinta ? Tua

15. Quinta ? Cachao

16. Quinta ? Vargellas

17. Qunita ? Canais

18. Quinta ? Vesuvio

19. Quinta ? Senhora ? Ribeira

20. Quinta ? Eravamoira

For a bonus point please send me a PM with the answer to the precise sequence in which these Quinta's appear.

Anyone who cheats should leave the forum and never come back :?

Unfortunately we only had 2 entries but at least they were on different sides of the pond so we can still consider the winner to be The Worlds Greatest Port Geek 2006

Congratulations to Alex Bridgeman with a score of 16.5/20 8)

Last place goes to Fred Blais with 12/20

Neither entrant managed to guess the answer to the bonus question "why are they listed in this order?" - the answer is that this is the order that they appear in Mayson's Port and the Douro. Fred was closest with the answer that they are listed from west to east. I didn't understand Alex's answer, I can only assume he was in the midst of a Vesuvio verticle when he submitted it

So, a Christmas full of gloating for Alex, sympathy for Fred, and shame on the rest of you for not being brave enough to try :P
