You have tasted on USA?
I have taste these one in Quinta do Noval on a vertical, of all the wines that Christian Selly have since 1993, when he start to lead the Quinta do Noval project, that AXA Millesimes have for it.
The wine is still to be released in the market on portugal, but i have buy on Premier, just like the 2004 Nacional.

No not in the states, but recently while in Portugal. I really enjoyed it, though thought it not up to par with the 2011. I was around 92-94 points.

Interesting... I was 92-94 on the 2011 and 93-95 on the 2012. I think those are the same bottles you're talking about, just with an extra day of air? And actually, I didn't get the chance to taste them until Sept 30. How many days had they been open by then?

Regardless, both are superb Ports. It's possible I was swayed by the extreme youth of the 2012... as you know I like my Ports very young or very old!

Moderator note: I've split this off into it's own discussion)

I tasted the 2012 along side the 2000, 2003, 2011, 2011 Nacional, and 1994 Nacional. I really liked it but it didn't have the stuffing like these prior ones did, at least at the moment. I was able to revisit them later on and my opinion was still the same. I think it's a wonder VP, but I prefer the structure of the 2011 over it.

When they were first being shown at the release tastings I preferred the regular 2011. Now that they've had longer in bottle to settle down I prefer the Nacional.

I've also tried the 2011 and the 2012 side by side. As much as I liked the 2012, I did think the 2011 had the edge I terms of depth and power.

The bottles were opened on Wednesday lunchtime and tasted over the course of 2 days before being finished at dinner on Friday!
