1970s Bottled D'Oliveiras - Wax or Metal Capsule?
Do the D'Oliveira Madeiras bottled in the 1970s have a wax or metal capsule?

Hey Barry, I have a 77T, 71T and 71S, all had wax. Do not recall if it was wax on foil however...

Hi Daniel,
I was referring to the Madeiras that D'Oliveira bottled in the 1970s, particularly the ones that are referred now as Family Reserve, like the 1850, etc. When bottled in the 1970s, were they a wax capsule or a metal capsule?

I'd assume wax as that is more common to my memory of being a standard.

Communication from Mannie. The stenciled bottles had wax while there were some paper labels that had metal. Thanks, Mannie.
