Prices rebounded at Christies today, with Warre '91 fetching £180 - 50% more than a week ago at Sothebys!
Most lots realised more than the top estimate price.
Prices for Burgundy and the German whites were appalling - many failed to sell or fell short of the lower estimate.
So I didn't buy any VP today, but I did pick up a case of old Mosel that I liked in the pre-sale tasting - for a mere £40!

You're right - they can be really quirky. I've often been tempted to put in low internet bids across the board in the hope that I'd pick up the odd bargain. However, I'm worried I'd end up with the lot. Lovely bargains, but some explaining might be required at home if my wife sees the bill
