Typically, when a currency escalates or loses value, imported wine is affected. In this case, I'd like to hear what you think about things as the Euro has broken below the 1.15 range.
Will we see older Vintage Ports less expensive on this side of the pond?
Other Ports as well?
What kind of difference do you expect in terms of pricing?

Even though the Euro is dropping, and in my opinion will continue the slide, I am not convinced that that event will depress port prices. Port, and especially vintage port, is becoming more and more in demand and that increased demand alone may more than offset any currency influence. I may change my opinion if Europe goes into another recession which some experts are predicting since that event could slow port demand worldwide.
By the way, the 10 year Swiss bond is paying negative interest right now. That's correct, you give the Swiss govt your money for 10 years and lose money with the offsetting negative interest rate. Crazy times.

Once the bottle has landed in USA, foreign price fluctuations should not matter to stateside bottles.

I think it will affect prices of future releases more directly. The changes to the overall pricing matrix will happen a bit more slowly. Europe is beginning to experience deflation now, also, and that will also have an effect on pricing.

I agree with Moses in general, but the savvy shopper might realize the high priced bottle on the shelf can be found somewhere else (in Europe, or newly imported) for less, leaving it unsold and perhaps someday subject to a price reduction. Sure, this isn't common, but clearance markdowns do happen.
