1880 CVM malmsey?

Post by Mark L »

Hello all,

Any fellow madeira lovers out there have any tasting notes or impressions of an 1880 CVM malmsey?

I'm vaguely considering getting some, but I've never tasted it and thought I would turn it over to the experts (if you're reading this, that's you!) for any recommendations (either to try or to avoid).

I realize that QPR is always important (quality/price ratio), but I'm trying to take a step back to get an idea of its tasting profile, and if people generally like it or not -- but without yet being influenced too much on its price. (I believe it's in the $400+ range, for those who must know!)

Thanks my friends,
Cheers,
Mark
