Belmont Stakes....Who are you rooting for?
Really it comes down to American Pharoah versus the field. I always root for a horse to win the Triple Crown. Who do you like?
Any Port in a storm!

37 years later ... I want to see this happen again in my lifetime, so no time like the present!
I used to live within 5 miles of Belmont Park and 1/2 hour from Aqueduct and spent many summer days at both trotters and thoroughbred tracks in Saratoga back in the 1970s. I no longer follow horse racing as I once did though.

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

When I was a kid, sometimes I'd go to Santa Anita. A great track back then. The excitement was palpable. I'd have my mother or uncle place bets for me. Once won a 5 dollar exacta which paid 70 and I felt king of the world. Saw John Henry win the Santa Anita Derby one year, back when it was the richest single race in the US.
