Any reviews or opinions? How does it fall in the 10 year cat?

niepoort 10 year tawny

Post by dave leach »

moses,
i've been a true fan of this 10 year since their 2003 bottling of it, which received 95 points from the wine spectator. a great everyday port, i think i paid around $27.00 at the time. i think they are now selling their 2005 bottling of it.
a general question for the members--do you think the quality/characteristics change much from year to year in the producers' 10, 20, 30, 40 year tawnys?

Moses,
I really enjoy the Niepoort and it is in my top list of 10 year tawny's.

One of the best 10YOT's for me. I've found this port very constant in quality with all bottlings (I think I've tasted them all since 2002).

Along with the Quinta do Vallado 10YOT, the Niepoort is my favorite.
