1997 Offley Boa Vista Vintage Port

A friend served this at the tail end of a dinner party Saturday night. Here are my notes:

1997 Offley Boa Vista Port - Still very young. The fruit is showing very well, with a decent balance of tannin and acidity. It was a little hot after hitting the air for a short time. The wine seems to be well structured. I'm surprised that it's drinking this well at such a young age. I think there's plenty of room to improve, but I would be surprised if it sees its 40th birthday intact.
