COLLECTIBLES: What have you added this year?

Post by Roy Hersh »

For those that have a small or growing collection of Port paraphernalia, can you share some of your gems that you have found and added to your collection recently?

For me it was early this year, I found this great glass funnel for decanting Port in, with the Taylor 4x brand screened onto its side. I believe this to be a few decades old and wish I could have found more.

Yes! A great topic [cheers.gif]

Just to be somewhat different, and to NOT to go with the flow, I found and bought an ashtray to celebrate Niepoorts 100 year birthday in 1942.

Not that I smoke....But I just had to get it!

i just bought an empty bottle. i think. it was not specified if it was full or empty but i paid what i would pay for an empty one. very little.
it looks exactly like this: http://www.oldliquors.com/port-1846-correa-davilla-4663

it will arrive soon and if it is full, well... i guess i'll be even happier

Cool stuff. I don't have things that are quite so neat, but I bought both the Taylor and Fonseca books:

http://fonseca.pt/en/fonseca/buy-the-book/
And then at Graham's I picked up their softbound booklets on Graham's, Dow, and Warres.
