Old IVM selo and no bottling date on back label. Probably in bottle over 20 years.
Very dark molasses color with olive oil rim.
Dense and viscous.
Musky aromas, spicy, toffee. Good whack of VA. Citrus with lemons and limes. Unmistakably Madeira on the nose.
Dense and rich on the palate as well. Sweet with more musk and citrus flavors. Great balancing acidity. Lots of depth. Excellent complexity.
Long sweet lemon/lime finish.
I've had this several times before, but this is by far the best showing. Lots of depth and good balance. Not cloying.
93 points.

I remember this wine being nice, but quite sweet and a bit soft in the past. Nice to see it coming around.
