I'll mark that down for you since it's not likely to be one that someone else NEEDS to bring. Hope your work schedule works out, boss man! The Sunday retro is for 1966 VP, so your Kopke won't fit. Is your Krohn a VP?Tom DB wrote:I can make it both days Glenn

The Kopke would work great for Saturday, though...

I've added Amy Yip to the list. She works with my wife and has been very interested in my stories of Port tastings, Madeira tastings, and whiskey tastings. She's checking her schedule to see if it works, and I'll help her source bottles if necessary.

I've also added Jeff and Samara for Saturday only. They've been to a tasting before, but it was a more casual one that we did at the Holiday Inn a couple of years ago.
If we get more people signing up, FTLOP members and people who want to attend both days will have priority.

Both of my 66's are safely ensconced in my cellar to rest after their long trip across the pond. Should be interesting since these are both UK bottlings.

Glenn, I have not been able to locate any other 1966's. I still have my Graham's. Does anyone have an extra 1966 that I could trade my Graham's for? Don

Don, if no one has something to trade for, you can always try wine-searcher.com . It's a great resource for finding retailers who have specific things you're looking for. Also, As far as west coast retailers who ship easily go, I've had great success with European Wine Resource in the Bay Area. Their bottles have always been in great shape and usually shown very well.Don B. wrote:Glenn, I have not been able to locate any other 1966's. I still have my Graham's. I took a look on winesearcher.com and there's really not much there. The only thing available that we don't already have is a Taylor, but it's $350 which is a little outrageous as far as I'm concerned. So unfortunately I think Don's best chance is that someone coming has another 1966 that he can adopt.Bradley Bogdan wrote:Don, if no one has something to trade for, you can always try wine-searcher.com . Anyone have an extra bottle and willing to help Don out?

Hey y'all:
I found a UK shop that has some interesting 1966 VPs. Here is the link:
http://www.vintageportshop.co.uk/vintag ... inkType=25
Rebello Valente
Massias
159 and 169 pounds respectively.

I hesitate to mention this, but do you want to play the different bottlers game, e.g. have a Taylor that is Oporto bottled and a Berry Bros. & Rudd bottling?

Even with typically outrageous shipping to the US, those aren't outrageous prices. A Rebello Valente would be nice to have at the tasting.Lisa Stevens wrote:I found a UK shop that has some interesting 1966 VPs. Here is the link:

I'd be fine with that, especially considering the difficulty that we're starting to run into with sourcing.Eric Menchen wrote:I hesitate to mention this, but do you want to play the different bottlers game, e.g. have a Taylor that is Oporto bottled and a Berry Bros. & Rudd bottling?
Anyone else have an opinion either way?
Don, what's your Graham? I'll have to take a look at mine to see what it is... I don't remember off the top of my head.

Hey Glenn, I can't make the July 23rd casual tasting (which is now filled anyway), but do you guys generally do a group dinner afterwards? If there's room, I would love to join in on that.
