The Rise & Fall of the Euro

Re: The Rise & Fall of the Euro
While I don't want to be Debbie Downer here the issue is one of a world economic Global meltdown. They are hanging on and keeping things together, for now. War clouds are on the horizon and unsustainable debt befalls many nations. Then add in a few hundred thousand immigrants to Europe, all demanding Government services. Yesterday, Gold broke out of it's 200 day moving average and is on track to have it's best quarter in 30 years. I believe lines were around the block to purchase Gold in London. Something is up and it's probably not going to mean more prosperity for the average Joe. Hedge accordingly.

Re: The Rise & Fall of the Euro
Last week it was the discussions of the UK leaving. Today US manufacturing looks good and the ECB is talking about more stimulus money, both working for the $ vs. the €.

Re: The Rise & Fall of the Euro
The reason for the rise is that the Federal Reserve signaled that they are not going to aggressively raise interest rates in the US any time soon.

Re: The Rise & Fall of the Euro
Just in the nick of time, the Euro is slowly fading back to its range where it has spent most of 2016: 1.13836 ... hopefully closer to 1.12 later in the week or beginning of next week.

Well, that vote was a surprise to me, but the resulting effect on the euro is not. Back to 1.11052.
