Post by Scheiny S »

hey folks, there is a Mediterranean restaraunt in Pittsburgh called Casbah. i went the other night for my birthday. i had a glass of wine because i hadn't looked up their Port list beforehand. here it is, what do you think of the list and their prices?
i had the roasted lamb and a red wine, is there a Port i could have had with it?

That's certainly a pretty good and varied list of dessert wines for most places, but at $22 for a pour (how big?), instead of two pours I might just want to go buy a bottle of 2001 Vesuvio ($46.89 at one source in NY). But I suppose that's typical?

As for lamb, I'm happy to drink any Port from the ruby family with it. I suppose a dryer label would be better, but that also might depend on how the lamb is prepared.
