1900 José Maria da Fonseca Moscatel de Setúbal

Post by Eric Menchen »

This is not a Port, but my other choices on the forum are Madeira and Portuguese Table Wine, so I'll post here.

This still has some red tint, and is clear and brilliant. Tasted after a 1900 Constantino colheita Port, this also smells ancient, and reminds me of Malaga. Sweet caramel, crème brûlée, and dulce de leche. Surprisingly fruity too. Thick with tangy acid. Peppermint as well! Wonderful. 97 points.
