Still a deep dark ruby color. Very youthful on the palate with some secondary notes starting to mix in. The dusty tannins showed up after lengthy decanting and surprised me as they didn't show prominently at first, after about 7 hours of decanting. This is still a baby and has a long life ahead of it. Another in the line of late 1980 VP's that have held up far better than their earlier decade counterparts.

Andy Velebil Good wine is a good familiar creature if it be well used. William Shakespeare http://www.fortheloveofport.com
