Have had this vintage many times before. This bottle was the first of an OWC purchased 4 yrs ago at the Norwegian Wine Monopoly, and it is always interesting to get an impression of a newly opened case.
Decanted 5 hrs. Contrary to many other bottles of this SW-vintage this one had not started to turn into a tawny-style. Colour was dark red with a light rim. Nicely balanced aroma of fruit (especially cherries), hints of oak and herbs. Full to medium body. Powerful, elegant, fruity and some oak and minerals. Some tougher tannins towards the end. Fresh and pleasant vintage port with well-balanced acidity/sweetness. Medium to long aftertaste. 92 pts.
