Trip to Porto

Post by V Sukhotin »

Hi Everyone,

I have just joined this wonder full forum. I am myself quiet new to the Port wine (love to drink it, but had no clue what was the difference between Tawny, Vintage and other difficult words up until recently).

Anyways, I will be going in June to Porto for a couple of days, and just wanted to find out if you have any recommendations for me. Hotels, restaurants, bars or just anything worth visiting. Porto itself and the Douro Valley.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thank you!

Welcome to the FTLOP board. This topic has been brought up before. For starters, I would check out this thread. Enjoy!

What days will you be there in June? I ask as there is something going on there that may change what rec's are made.

Ok, you'll be before the festival activities which will make it a bit easier to get around and do stuff.
