Bottled 10/1996, in the decanter two days.
Copper, gold, green color. Initially upon opening a bit of bottle stink, but this blew off after a day in the decanter.
Smoky, citric, pralines on the nose. An umami component as well.
Not particularly sweet, but with huge acidity. Tangerines and limes. Could pass for a sweeter Verdelho except for the smokiness and savoriness I associate with Boal.
Long finish of limes and caramel.

Had this many times-bottle stink is trait with this wine.
This and the 1912 are two of my favorites.
