1997 Quinta das Heredias Vintage Port

Tasted blind. Aroma of bathroom, both rotten and chemical. This decreased with some time, but is still there, covering up some fruit. Nice juice in the mouth. Sweet with light acid and tannins. The flavor isn’t as interesting as the previous wine (a flawed 1997 Caves Messias Quinta do Cachão), but the aroma is now less distracting than that one. Further improving with a medium finish with just a hint of pleasant warmth. 88 points.
