The cycles of port are fascinating. Like most people on the forum, I wrote off the Taylor 1985 a few years ago as being a poor port. Now it's delicious.
The 1960 vintage is another one where I was very unimpressed a few years ago and now really enjoy them. The 1975 vintage seems to have suddenly pulled itself together and is giving great current enjoyment.
On the other hand 1963 was better in 2013 than it is today. I look forward to drinking it again in 3-5 years to see whether it follows the path of the 1960 vintage and suddenly pulls itself together again to give another few years of enjoyable drinking.

I use to think 1985 Ferreira was good, but nothing special... Now I cherish those as a prized bottle!Al B. wrote:The cycles of port are fascinating. Like most people on the forum, I wrote off the Taylor 1985 a few years ago as being a poor port. Now it's delicious.
