Taylor’s 325th Anniversary Limited Edition Tawny Port

Post by Marco D. »

Just picked a bottle up for $37. I was a bit underwhelmed. Nice and flavorful, but a bit too soft and rounded for my tastes. I felt it could have used a bit more focus and grip. At least the bottle was cool looking.

Anybody else tried it?

I've not yet. I will get one, really just for the cool bottle. Though this is really just a reserve level wine so I expect it to be nice but not to the level of Scion.

I keep meaning to try one, but haven't seen one in a store yet and I figure it's probably not worth paying shipping to get one. I'm sure I'll eventually find one somewhere. :)

It's not a great wine, Marco's description matches my impression when I tried it.

But the bottle is really cool. That's why I bought one. Now I just have to find a place for it in the house where my wife won't spot it.

Alex, I know that feeling all too well. :soapbox: What don't wives "get" about Port bottles, (as I know they love drinking them!)? [dash1.gif]
