2015 Graham’s Stone Terraces vintage port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottle no. 4195 of totally 4800 bottles. Decanted 8 hrs. Extremely dark red colour, nearly black. Very nice well-structured aroma of young fruit (dark red berries incl. cherries) and hints of oak and vanilla. Medium to full body. WOW!! So elegant from start and still being powerful. Immediate reaction is that it is both well-structured and has a well-balanced acidity/sweetness status. All of that is staying unchanged during the initial tasting and consumption of the bottle. In spite of the young age of this port, the tannins are already well polished. Fruit (especially cherries), oak, some minerals and hints of chocolate are all nicely integrated. Long aftertaste. What a wonderful young vintage port! 96 pts.

A truly fantastic VP. I'm glad I managed to acquire 6 of them before Roy's newsletter article came out!

Glad we're all in agreement that the Graham's Stone Terraces ... is THAT good!
