NV Ramos Pinto 20 years Bom Retiro tawny port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottled 2017. Decanting 2.5 hrs which seemed to be too much. Will go for 1.5 hrs next time. Dark brownred colour. Appealing aroma of citrus and oak. Full body. Powerful and elegant, a “big” 20 yrs tawny. Full of complexity in the taste incl. citrus, oak, some raisins and a touch of minerals and “burned sugar”. Powerful tannins which are well integrated. Well-balanced acidity/sweetness. Long aftertaste of citrus, wood and touch of minerals. 93 pts.
