2016 Rivers-Marie Bearwallow Vineyard Pinot Noir -- Anderson Valley

Post by Andy Velebil »

I've recently joined this wine list in my quest to find good quality Pinot, Chard's, and Cab's from California. So far I've been quite happy with the $30-ish dollar bottlings from this company. This is a bit more pricey at $60. What I noticed most about this 13.9% ABV wine is the lack of jammy fruit. Dark Cherries that don't overpower, a nice amount of dusty tannins in the background that compliment the wine without distracting from it, some tar, very good acidity keeps it really fresh and crisp. Quite seamless across the palate and long finish. A wonderful wine and a nice step up from their lower priced wines.
