1975 Kopke Colheita Port

Post by John M. »

Opened 4 hours. Orange butterscotch color to a light pale rim; weight is high and looks viscous. A full-on aroma offers hazelnut and caramel. Cooked oranges and roasted praline with notes of oak and crème Brule. The finish has a citrus zest note within the above flavors. Extended finish. It really opens up as it sits in the glass. Sadly, this is my last one as this is a memorable Port.

Thanks for the great note! I have 2 of these, which I grabbed because 1975 is a birthyear wine for my girlfriend. Encouraging!

Cheers,

Great bottle, agreed! I buy one each fall when they are available in my area.
