Decanted 6.5 hours. A ruby red with some bricking. Medium weight on the palate, with licorice, tobacco leaf, red stone fruits and some protruding spirit. There are some light tannins that show up on the back of the mouth then soften as it transitions to a medium length finish. The finish brings forth some menthol and black tea. I've had a few of these over the past couple of years and they are fairly consistent; in a nice spot, mature, and I don't see it improving from here. A nice mature VP that still has a handful of years before it starts a very slow slide.
