2004 Fonseca Quinta do Panascal vintage port

Decanted 5.5 hrs, which was OK. A lot of small sediments at decanting. Deep purple colour. Powerful, deep aroma of red berries, with minerals and oak in the background. Full body. Powerful and quite strongly dominated by fruit. Very nice tannins. Some minerals (incl. touch of lead) which is a pleasant combination with the fruit. Acidity/sweetness-balance could have been better, as the acidity was on the high side. Long aftertaste. 90 pts.
