NV Andresen 40 years old white port

Post by Rune EG »

My last bottle. 50 cl. Bottled 2013. Decanted 0.5 hr. Medium to dark amber colour. Fresh fruity aroma incl. apricot, and also some oak. Medium to full body. Taste is fruity, nice citrus, round, powerful, to some degree elegant, oak and a hint of alcohol. Some bitterness at the very end. Medium length aftertaste. 92 pts.

I always have loved Andresen's Ports. There is something special about them. I don't have the 40, but I do have a 1968 Colheita, which is a wonderful Port. I think that their 20 year old is one of the best. The downside is that Andresen is difficult to find in the US.
