2017 Vintage Ports from The Fladgate Partnership

Post by Roy Hersh »

From a source that I have used since the early 1990's:

Schneider's of Capitol Hill
300 Massachusetts Ave. NE
Washington, DC 20002
202.543.9300

* 2017 Croft:  $84.99
* 2017 Fonseca (375 ml):  $54.99
* 2017 Fonseca (750 ml):  $95.99
* 2017 Taylor's Quinta de Vargellas Vinha Velha (750 ml):  $255.99 ... they listed 3 are available. I don't know if the price is for one or 3, it was not clearly stated.
* 2017 Taylor Fladgate (375 ml): $56.99
* 2017 Taylor Fladgate (750 ml): $99.99
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

I'd be shocked if that was the price for 3. That's a fairly normal-looking single bottle price (slightly high) for Graham's Stone Terraces, and they're usually similarly priced.

I have bought from Schneider's somewhat frequently as they are 1 of 2 'local' places with a decent Port selection (including a 1927 Fonseca a couple of years ago that was quite nice.) The other is MacArthur Wines, also in DC. Thanks for reminding me, Roy, that I need to take another trip.

Most recent purchase from Schneider's was a bunch of 375ML 1992 Taylors. Love those bottles!
