1967 Dalva Colheita port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottled 2015 (= 48 years at bottling time). Decanted 1 hr. Medium to dark brown, but still transparent. Aroma of oak, dust, citrus and herbs. Full body. Taste is powerful, but still pleasant, citrus, oak, and with minerals/schist towards the end. Tiny bit alcohol in the background. Medium to long aftertaste dominated by citrus and some acidity. Touch of bitterness at the end. Not so sweet. 92 pts.

I have always greatly preferred the 1967 Rui Paula blend, by Dalva, to this one.
