1963 Quinta do Noval VP

(Bottled by Hedges & Butler.) Even more medicinal than the 1955 Royal Oporto VP tasted immediately prior, this has aromas of menthol and isopropyl alcohol. With time, this has toned down slightly, but is still the primary aromatic character. The flavor seems disjoint, with a hint of fruit and alcohol warmth. It lacks something to bring things together. 90 points.
