1952 Kopke Colheita

Post by Eric Menchen »

(Bottled 2013.) Clear and lighter than anything else in the flight (1951-1961 colheitas). Aroma suggests brown sugar, but it is lighter than the 1961 Krohn tasted prior. Smells of Ceylon cinnamon, caramel, cola, and lightly toasted brown sugar with butter under the broiler. The flavor too is buttery, sugary, and wonderful tasted on its own, but it is not quite as good as the 1961 Krohn colheita. Later there was some cream and lemon flavor. 95 points.
