1955 Cockburn VP

Post by Eric Menchen »

Aroma of slightly musty leather, integrated with some alcohol warmth. There is light fruit as well in the aroma, with cherry and maybe strawberry. It is very subtle dried fruit character. Tastes sweet, lightly flavored, with a strong warmth in the finish. It is more tangy with a larger taste, and thicker too, not quite but tending to syrupy. Medium length finish that is still warm. Initially scored at 92 points, with the warmth in the finish being the hang up. Later this subsided a little, and I scored it 93 points.
