SAMMAMISH PORT CLUB - MARCH 2017 - Sammamish, Washington (3/24/2017)
  • NV J.H. Andresen Porto 20 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Bottled in 2009. Amber brown in color with orange-yellow on the edges. Toffee and a touch of maple on the nose. Pine resin, medium-bodied, balanced acidity. Long finish with some slight bitterness son the finish. (91 pts.)
  • NV Cockburn Porto 20 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Bottled in 2015. Clear, amber-orange in color. Vanilla and hints of cigar box on the nose. Intense mouthfeel with some pralines and some light cloves. (88 pts.)
  • NV Churchill/Graham Porto 20 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Bottled in 2015. Almost amber brick in color. Hints of root beer on the subdued nose. Very intense mouthfeel on the approach. Honey with a touch of chocolate underneath. (89 pts.)
  • NV Ramos Pinto Porto 20 Year Old Tawny Quinta do Bom Retiro - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Bottled in 2013. Medium orange-brown in color. Intense nose with herbal notes and a touch of spirit. Herbal notes on the full-bodied palate. Long finish with balanced acidity. (92 pts.)
  • NV Quinta do Vallado Porto 20 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Clean pale yellow and amber Brown in color. Intense nose with some spirit and some underlying orange peel. Great balanced, smooth honey notes and great acidity on the long finish. (91 pts.)
  • NV Poças Porto Tawny 20 Year - Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Amber orange in color. Light caramel notes on the nose. Full-bodied with a touch of cinnamon and great, balanced tannins on the finish. (90 pts.)
  • NV S. Leonardo Porto 30 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto (93 pts.)
  • 1933 V.J.H Madeira Malmsey - Portugal, Madeira
    Amber orange in color with some sediment. Sea salt and cedar notes on the nose. Full and rich palate. Great balance and very long finish. (93 pts.)
