SAMMAMISH PORT CLUB - OCTOBER 2018 - Sammamish, Washington (10/13/2018)
  • 1964 Krohn Porto Colheita Branco - Portugal, Douro, Porto
Bottled in 2007. Golden-amber in color. Rich notes of caramel, lemon, and hazelnut on the nose. The acidity is pronounced, but balanced. Medium-bodied with a nice long finish. (91 pts.)
  • 1991 Quinta do Vesuvio Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
Medium-dark purple in color. Subtle dark berry and some mint on the nose. Ripe red berries and currants on the palate. Good balance with bright fruit and balanced tannins. Long Finish. (90 pts.)
  • 1997 Quinta do Vesuvio Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
Very dark purple-red in color. Subtle nose of dark fruit and some floral notes. Rich, lush mouthfeel with a touch of bitterness giving way to expanding pomegranate flavors. Great, long finish with just a touch of alcohol. (92 pts.)
  • 1994 Quinta do Vesuvio Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
Dark violet in color with slight lightening on the edges. Intense nose with some black fruit and some smokey notes underneath. Blueberry gam with intense mouthfeel and rich, mouth-coating mid-palate. Tannins roll from the mid-palate into the very long finish, which ends with just a little spirit. (95 pts.)
  • 2000 Quinta do Vesuvio Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
Medium-dark violet in color with some lightening on the edges. Slightly funky, minty nose, with some sour cherry on the palate. Dry style Vintage Port with a medium-long finish. (89 pts.)
  • 2007 Quinta do Vesuvio Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
Completely dark opaque in color. Intense dark berry on the palate. Well-balanced across the board. Rich fruit on the finish with balanced tannins. (94 pts.)
