Pop and pour at 20:30. Much more color than I expected, as this still looks primary, with a hint of orange brown in the hue, with faint bricking. Aromas of raisin, fig, leather, and creosote. Some berry and esteva too. Flavors are less interesting, more muted. There is some berry, not many tannins, medium-light acid. Medium to short finish.
Later tastings showed cherry and alcohol, more depth and tang. There were also aromas of leather and tar, esteva, and faint cinnamon. Medium body. Warm finish. Flavor of figs.
I didn't score this at the time. Upon reflection and guessing, I'd say it improved after the first evening and was then in the 90-92 point range.
