1994 Dow VP

Post by P Kaye »

Decanted for 6 hours from a 375ml bottle. On Day 1 nose was muted and closed, and the palate wasn't much different. There were nice flavors of cherry, strawberry, and blackberry, with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Day 1 score was 91.
What a difference a day makes (thanks, Dinah Washington)! On Day 2 the nose was lovely and soft, and the fruit flavors on the palate were much more prominent. That Dow balance of fruit and dryness was outstanding, and the finish was long and pleasant. 95 pts on Day 2, and all gone!

Nice note and nice bottle! 94’s stayed open for a long time after release then shut down hard. Seems they still need a bit of time opened to shake off that just woke up grumpiness.
