1982 Presidential (Dalva) Colheita port

Bottled 2015. Decanted 1 hr 45 min. Medium cognac colour. A touch of alcohol at the beginning (disappeared 2 hrs after decanting). Aroma also includes citrus, wood and caramel. Medium to full body. Taste is powerful, elegant and with plenty well-integrated citrus. Slightly on the sweet side. Well-structured port. Medium to long aftertaste. Really liked this colheita. 94 pts.

That sounds wonderful. Even if though I’ve not run into one that tops the 1952, I can’t think of an older Dalva white colheita that I haven’t really enjoyed. Glad this one was singing!
