DR L70 Very Old Tawny Port

Post by Stewart T. »

  • DR L70 Very Old Tawny Port - Portugal, Douro, Porto (7/24/2021)
Orange spice and Creamsicle on the nose. Well balanced with a super smooth mouthfeel. Rich flavor profile with caramel, light orange notes, and vanilla throughout the mid-palate. A fantastically balanced wine with a very long, luscious finish. Love this wine. (95 pts.)

Re: NV Agri-Roncão Porto DR - 70 Year Old Tawny

Was this a cask sample or something? None of my L70s have a bottling date on the label, but recollection is that they were newly bottled when we first had the option to purchase them in 2018.

27, 28, 30, 31, 32, and 61 are my remaining bottles. I've already opened 23, and 3 others from the 60s because I wasn't paying attention.

Let me double check my tasting notebook. Bottling date might be a typo on my part.
