Would an x-mas tour of Villa Nova de Gaia be possible despite being out of season?

Even though it would be out of season would there be things connected to the Port industry that would be open that time of year?

You would have to look to see what days some of the lodges close. I imagine at least xmas day itself and perhaps the day before??

However with the reduced tourism because of Covid right now no clue how many things, Wine industry wise, will shutter their doors for that week.

I can't comment on VNdG, but I was in the Algarve for Christmas of 2018. A lot of things were shut down there. You had to plan ahead to find the restaurants and stores that would be open on various days.

Nick,

For the most part, the companies are closed for business or have minimal staff on hand, at best. There are many better times of the year to be in Vila Nova de Gaia. Have you found a ride to/from the airport? [friends.gif]
