Decanted about 9 hours. Still a very dark ruby color with no signs of fading or bricking. The palate is still a bit closed from some years ago, but it is now opening back up and has lovely black berries, menthol, moderate tannins, well placed acidity keeping it very lively and some saddle leather on the long finish. I don't think this is totally out of it's closed phase just yet. But it is oh-so very delicious at the moment and I have no doubt will continue to get better as the years tick by. It may not be the most talked about 1994, but it is one that any serious Port lover should have for the future.
