Would love any comments about these bottles. Cause this was blindly groping in the dark LOL.
An odd ball port selection. The should all be fun to try.

So jealous of these whites. I just got some 30 year olds in Penna--on "clearance" for $75/bottle which I felt was a decent price (had been $125-$130). EIther you have to come for another Crossword Tourney or I've got to come to Seattle--been too long!

Last Friday I paid a visit to the Portweinmesse in Leverkusen (Germany), organised by Axel Probst. Great tastings, with many young vintages and some older colheita's.
At the end of the tasting Rita Braga (Mourão) still had two bottles left, and she was so kind to sell them to me:
- S. Leonardo 40 years white (0,5 l @ € 90,00)
- S. Leonardo 30 years tawny (0,5l @ € 55,00).

By the way, Rita Braga, Elisabete Almeida (Agri-Roncão), Dirk Niepoort and George Sandeman all send their regards to the participants of the 2021 PHT!

Fonseca 1970
Fonseca 1977

I will probably open (for the second time) the Fonseca 1970 during the holidays. the first time it was in 2015 and to this day it is the best Port I have drunk in my life.

70 is awesome. Enjoy!

77 has a lot of bottle variation. Hopefully yours shows well.

Original wooden box. Not a case, but a wooden box with a plastic sliding window for a single bottle.

Picked up that B. de Vilar at the Seabra that has a liquor store attached to it. That's also where I found the Pacheca LBV which I think is fairly rare around here.

I went to Maloco as you suggested btw, thanks for the tip. The $20 Cockburn Reserve Ruby set they had is a great gift for the uninitiated imo. I think they have a couple more.
