TN: 1907 Blandys Bual

Post by Eric Ifune »

Iridescent amber, gold, green.
Aromas of toffee, praline, almond skins, smoky, tangerines.
Very dense and rich on the palate. Butter toffee. A lot of savory notes. More tangerines. Not particularly sweet. Huge, huge complexity.
Very long and rich finish.
Not quite the concentration as the fabulous 1920, but still terrific.
96 points.

I have always been a fan and while I agree, the 1920 version is the better of the two and I've had it quite a few more times than this ... the 1907 is no slouch!
