2017 Dona Otilia LBV port

Dona Otilia LBV 2017
This quinta is rather new, but is building up a good name in Denmark. Normally we buy white ports from this quinta, like 10 yrs, 20 yrs and 30 yrs. Purchased a couple of bottles of their LBV as we wanted to see if they could present the same good quality level as for the white ports. We noticed that there is a small round label on the bottle stating: “Produced exclusively for the Danish market”

Tasting note:
Decanted 1 hr (next bottle should be 1,5 hrs). Deep red colour, nearly black. Rich aroma dominated by fruit and floral notes (a bit like perfume). Full body. Powerful taste including fruit and same floral notes like the aroma. Also, some dark chocolate. Well-balanced acidity/sweetness. Tannins towards the end. Long aftertaste. 90 pts.
